MINUTES OF THE OAK RIDGE PARK CIVIC ASSOCIATION MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2006 AT 2917 LAKEWOOD DRIVE, VIOLET, LA The Oak Ridge Park Civic Association held a meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at 2917 Lakewood Drive, Violet, LA pursuant to notice posted on the message board and the website. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the President, Lenor Duplessis. The President recognized Deputies Chad Clark, John Doran, Joe Kramer and Joey Alfonso of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, who addressed neighborhood concerns. Mr. Doran said Sheriff Stephens could not make the meeting because he is out of town. On motion of Layne Bennett, seconded by Desiree Jones, it was moved to approve minutes of the October 10, 2006 association meeting. And the motion was declared adopted on the 14th day of November, 2006. The Treasurer, Shulond Myer, presented the financial report. Beginning balance was $2,409.43. Expenses for the month were $ 936.78 for the Landscaping Project and the Halloween Party. The ending balance is $3,410.85. Benny Ruiz updated everyone on the advertisement board. He said the board is at the printer and should be displayed in the front of the neighborhood within a week. The companies that will be displayed on the board are Flooring Plus, Buckwheat, Infinity, Ace Fence, Vetter Lumber and Electrical Company. The association discussed the December meeting. It was decided to have a Christmas Party in lieu of a meeting. Benny & Vicki Ruiz agreed to host the party at their home at 3000 Acorn Drive beginning at 6:30 p.m. The following members paid dues: Zinnia & Henderson Lewis, Daniel Drive - $50 Sheri & Troy Douglas, 3109 Acorn Drive - $50 Emile Pellitierri, Oak Drive - $50 Kevin & Gwen Loze, 3208 Acorn Drive - $50 There being no further business for discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
